2010 DRAFT CLINIC MARCH 27th

ZALTANA
The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Oregon sponsored an all breed draft/carting clinic for people who wanted to teach their canine companion to pull a cart and work toward a drafting title.  Harnesses, carts and training equipment were available to use the day of the clinic.  Each team received an instruction booklet, a lecture going over the carting basics and hands-on training/practice sessions with the dogs.  The clinic was held indoors with morning and afternoon sessions available.  Thanks to all participants and helpers !!  We look forward to doing this again in the future.

The Bernese Mountain Dog has historically functioned as a draft dog in various capacities, and performance of these exercises is intended to demonstrate skills resulting from both inherent ability and training which are applicable to realistic work situations.
